Role: Business Development Support Executive
Purpose of the role
To provide dedicated support to the Business Development Content Manager and the wider Business Development team, contributing to tenders, submissions, research and content preparation. This role combines coordination, admin, creative formatting support and analytical work, giving strong exposure across various avenues in Homes for Students.
Please note this role is remote/hybrid between our Liverpool and Harrogate Office
Key responsibilities
- Support the preparation of tender documents, presentations, proposals and submission packs.
- Format documents, prepare visuals and ensure all content follows brand guidelines.
- Set up and manage submission folders, trackers and timelines.
- Follow up with teams across the business for required information and inputs.
- Assist with creating case studies, templates and general business development content.
- Help coordinate client presentations and pitch preparations.
- Provide admin support across the business development workflow.
- Maintain shared filing and content libraries so materials are easy to access and up to date.
- Support the business development team on large submissions by compiling sections, and ensuring structure and consistency.
- Work with the wider BD team to gather competitor intel, market information and benchmarking to ensure operational competitiveness.
- Provide market research across PBSA, BTR and Co-living.
- Build relationships with operations, finance, marketing and design teams to access the information needed for bids.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across all departments to ensure consistent, accurate and timely information.
Skills and experience
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Self-confident working with documents, formatting and presentations.
- Confident IT skills and the ability to use excel and analyse data.
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with Canva experience desirable.
- Previous experience with P&L oversight is an advantage.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and interest in developing new skills to develop and the role grows.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, able to communicate clearly, manage expectations and handle requests with professionalism.
