We are looking for a Senior Business Development Analyst to join our Business Development team based in Harrogate, working 40 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Purpose of the Role
To be instrumental in supporting the Business Development Manager and team your role will consist of checking financial operating models to ensure the scope has been met and provide full justifications to the client on this basis. Analysis of future projects both financial and non-financial, market research and development of the pricing process on the financial operating model templates.
The work calls for someone who is financially minded with a willingness to learn and develop in commercial finance. Someone who has excellent communication skills and an understanding of the industry, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with colleagues and managers from other departments. Suitable candidates for the role should be confident and persuasive individuals with good communication skills also client facing as you will be the first point of contact.
Major Duties
- Provide/Support market intelligence on rental levels and occupancy both internally and externally for the following sectors - PBSA, BTR, Co-Living & SFR.
- Build accommodation schedules based on floor plans/client info provided for take overs and tenders
- Working within the business development team to propose rental levels, operating pricing and assumptions made.
- Prepare & Analyse Historical Financial information to support financial & business development projects.
- Lead & Support on different value-adding commercial projects. Including analysing revenue & costs V projections.
- Help identify cost saving opportunities to be implemented in the financial modelling.
- Assist with & prepare NOI’s.
- Support with initial client queries on NOI models.
- Work alongside the Sales team to gain feedback on rental proposals, market rents & inflation in given markets.
- Support with the preparation of pre-comm budgets.
- Provide financial support and analysis where necessary.
- Support with and prepare Energy Forecasting.
- Build & Maintain strong relationship with Utility Broker/Consultant to assist Energy Forecasting.
- Collation and ownership of portfolio wide database, to assist with accuracy/efficiency of financial modelling going forward.
- Support/Suggest any process improvements.
- Work alongside the Sales team to gain feedback on rental proposals
- Provide support to the wider business development team
- Build strong relationships internally and externally with suppliers and clients
- Work closely with the procurement, sales and finance team
- Market research for PBSA and BTR sectors
- Manage and prioritise own workload to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications - Desirable
- Qualified or Part Qualified accountant. (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
